Bell introduced a full-face off-road motorcycle helmet in 1971 and named the design the Moto 3. The helmet was the first of its kind and was created specifically for off-road riders. The helmet had snaps to attach a peak visor and an eye-port that was big and wide enough to accommodate large dirt bike goggles. Needless to say, this helmet became very popular, very quickly.

The Bell 3 was the inspiration behind many of the motocross helmets you see today. Many of the features that you may take for granted today were first introduced by the early Moto 3 helmet back in 1971. Even today, these helmets are considered to be iconic and stylish. They have a classic, vintage appeal that draws amateurs as well as professionals.

After success in the 70’s and a huge nostalgic appeal in recent times, Bell is now re-releasing one of the most iconic helmets in motorcycle history – the MOTO 3 with upgraded safety and comfort features while keeping the same classic look.
